NewsAd Hoc Committee Sets Meeting Dates[Last updated Friday, October 28, 2005] The Ad Hoc Committee preparing the Draft Comprehensive and Integral International Convention on the Protection and Promotion of the Rights and Dignity of Persons with Disabilities has just announced that it will hold meetings in New York from January 16-February 3and from August 7-18, 2006. Inclusion International will be there! In advance of the meetings, Robert Martin of New Zealand, Council Member and Chair of the Self-Advocacy Task Force will be hosting the Chair of the Ad Hoc Committee, Ambassador Don MacKay of New Zealand on a tour of services of IHC so that Ambassador MacKay can meet people with an intellecutal disability and learn more about the implications of the Convention for them. |
